Zhengzhou Metro serves Zhengzhou, Henan, and its metropolitan area. Its first line, Line 1, began trial operations on 28 December 2013, making Zhengzhou the 19th mainland Chinese city to open an urban rail service according to the original profile.

The original entry reported cumulative ridership exceeding 1.5 billion journeys by 6 November 2020. It recorded 2.0753 million journeys on 31 December 2020 and an increase in average daily ridership from 163,200 at opening to 1.2097 million, accounting for more than 40% of the city's public transport journeys at that time.

BIOSUN provides air treatment solutions for rail transit. Its Chinese project profile reports experience across more than 100 rail projects in China and overseas, with applications addressing airborne microorganisms, particles, chemical gases and emissions from interior materials in occupied transport environments.

Applications cover train interiors, platforms, station halls and public restrooms. BIOSUN applies PHOTOPLASMA technology to selected microbial, gaseous and particulate air treatment requirements. Performance should be assessed against the equipment specifications, relevant test reports and operating conditions.
